This opportunity is for anyone who works with complex clients or patients and wants support amongst health professionals and experienced coach mentors who specialize in chronic pain and chronic illness.

In this weekly group mentoring experience students will gain access to chronic illness coach mentorship. Come ready to connect with coaches like you, who are seeking to change the world for people in pain. This mentoring experience combines deep instruction, group dialogue, lessons from the natural world, helpful handouts, recorded examples and energizing skills practicum.

Meet Your Mentor:

Over the course of his 14+ year career, Paul has specialized in coaching clients with complex health challenges including chronic pain, alcoholism, autoimmune disorders, chronic illness, medication dependency, etc. As the CEO of Pain Coach Academy, Paul has instructed and mentored hundreds of coaches who specialize in chronic pain and chronic illness. Paul's favorite part of coaching is bringing his clients back into harmony with nature, tuning to spiritual wisdom, cultivating presence and awareness, and breaking out of lifelong patterns of suffering. Paul Curtis is an NBC-HWC, Certified Pain Management Coach and PRT Certified.

Course Structure:

  1. Beginning in March, 2026 the War Room will meet weekly on Zoom every Tuesday at 9 am Pacific/12 Pm Easten and can be accessed through a monthly subscription.

  2. Mentoring groups are an hour long and have the following structure:

    1. Coach Mentor gives a short presentation on the concept of the week (15 minutes)

    2. Group Q&A (5 minutes)

    3. Group splits into breakout rooms and practices the concept together (25 minutes)

    4. Group returns to the main forum and dialogues about what they learned (10 minutes)

    5. Students complete quiz and session feedback (5 minutes)

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the coach will be:

  • Confident in using deep listening to navigate challenging client coaching dynamics and outcomes

  • Proficient in practicing Motivational Interviewing skills that revitalize complex client challenges

  • Grounded in intuition and mental stability that improves deep listening and coaching engagement

  • Competent in creating a space for lasting change for clients who live with chronic pain and chronic illness

  • Method of evaluation Following each group mentoring session, students will complete a short quiz that tests their knowledge of the content covered.
