How To Use Sticky Contact in Tekmatix to Boost Conversions and Streamline User Experience

Sticky Contact is a powerful Tekmatix feature that automatically remembers information a user previously entered such as their name, email, or phone number—and pre-fills it the next time they visit your forms, surveys, or booking calendars. This reduces friction, speeds up submissions, and helps you achieve higher completion rates.

It works by using browser cookies to store submitted details, giving your returning users a smoother, faster experience.

Why Sticky Contact Matters

Sticky Contact can significantly improve user flow across your automations, funnels, and booking systems. Here’s why it’s important:

  • Faster form submissions for returning users

  • Higher conversion rates due to reduced user effort

  • Better user experience — especially for repeat customers

  • Consistent data across forms, surveys, calendars, and order forms

  • Ideal for multi-step funnels where users return repeatedly

When You Should NOT Use Sticky Contact

Sticky Contact should be turned off when:

Internal team members fill out forms on behalf of customers

Their locally stored cookies will overwrite customer data.

A single device is shared (kiosks, tablets at events, reception desks)

Every new submission can overwrite the previous user's data.

In these cases:

  • Turn off Sticky Contact

  • Or manually update customer details inside the Contact Record

Perfect Use Cases for Sticky Contact

  • Returning customers booking appointments

  • Recurring event registrations

  • Online classrooms or portals where users log in frequently

  • Multi-step funnels where data needs to carry over (e.g., application → booking → payment)

  • Order forms where repeat buyers regularly purchase

Sample Scenario: How a Real Business Uses Sticky Contact

You run weekly online workshops inside Tekmatix. Many attendees join every week and re-register.

Without Sticky Contact:
Repeat attendees have to type their name, email, and phone number every time → frustration → drop-offs.

With Sticky Contact:
When they return to register again:

  • Their name is already filled in

  • The email field is auto-populated

  • They click “Submit” in seconds

Result: Faster registrations, happier attendees, and more repeat sign-ups.
